Jamie Flinchbaugh is the founder of JFlinch, where he helps purpose-driven leaders craft effective, resilient organizations. With more than 3 decades of experience across operational, strategic, and consulting roles, Jamie collaborates with leaders and their teams to bridge capability, strategic, cultural, and systems gaps towards a purposeful impact on their organizations.
Jamie has worked with over 300 clients spanning manufacturing, healthcare, utilities, technology, consumer products, government, and professional services, including Harley-Davidson, Intel, Mars, Amazon, Crayola, Fidelity, and Whirlpool. He has helped build nearly 20 companies as a co-founder, board member, advisor, or angel investor. During his 15 years as co-founder of the Lean Learning Center, alongside Andy Carlino and Dennis Pawley, Jamie built the organization into one of the premier providers of lean transformation, education, and consulting services. He then served as Corporate Vice President of Qorvo’s Lean Journey helping lead the semiconductor company through a cultural, structural, and capability transformation.
Jamie has served on the boards of firms ranging from startups to century-old industrial companies. His board of directors service includes Robinson Fans, York Container, S&S Cycle, and Orion Fleet Intelligence. In the non-profit space, he previously chaired the Board of Advisors for the Pawley Lean Institute at Oakland University, and served on the board of PA Rush soccer. A member of the National Association of Corporate Directors since 2009, Jamie became a Leadership Fellow in 2015 and Directorship Certified in 2021.
Jamie is the author of People Solve Problems: The Power of Every Person, Every Day, Every Problem and co-author of the lean bestseller The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Lean: Lessons from the Road. He hosts the People Solve Problems podcast and co-hosts Lean Coffee Talk. He wrote regular columns for over a decade for both IndustryWeek and Assembly Magazine.
Jamie holds two Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and the University of Michigan, an MBA from MIT, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. He lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife, Jill Triani, with whom they had three children.
