Blog Friday Follows

by Jamie Flinchbaugh on 09-25-09
In following the tradition of Twitter’s Friday Follows, where people share who they are following, I thought I would bring the same spirit of sharing to blogging (and encourage other bloggers to do the same).
I’ll start with my all-time favorite lean blog, Mark Graban’s LeanBlog.org. I’ve known Mark since before he started blogging, and it’s been fun to see his own development of process and learning as he’s been doing this since 2005. I’ve been a guest blogger there since March of ’05 and you can find my posts history here. Several other guests have contributed over the years as well.
Mark has gone from being a lean generalist to a specialist in lean healthcare, including authoring the book Lean Hospitals. Although LeanBlog.org has shifted to focus more on lean healthcare as Mark has, most of the content is really of interest to any lean thinker. I hope to continue contributing there, as well as keep reading Mark’s content.
If you want to follow all of the lean bloggers in one location, you can check out the Lean Blog Aggregator at The Lean Library. It provides a feed of all posts and the lead-in text so you can decide quickly what you want to read in more depth.

  • Thanks Jamie. This might be my first comment on YOUR blog. Great idea to extend this sharing courtesy on the blogs, not just on Twitter.

I’ll try to do the same on my blog occasionally.

  • Thanks Mark. I think the spirit of Friday Follows is right on the money – it’s about sharing of ideas and making connections. Unfortunately the execution often looks about as useful as spam. I won’t do this every Friday, but I do plan on doing it again.
