Make the Most of This Time

Are you the only one in the office this week? Or the only one next week? What a great time to get something done that is important, but not urgent.

Pick one thing that’s been frustrating you. It could be your own email or file management system, or your project tracking, or your calendar management. Take a moment while it’s slow to actually fix it. Don’t just catch up on email, because that only fixes the symptom. It doesn’t fix the cause. Find the cause and fix it. Put in a new system or process that you can rely on.

Just one thing. Make the most of the time when no one is around. And start next year a little better off.

  • This is my time for 5 S in both physical and virtual objects. I only wish I can do this three times a year. I say three since I loose the effects of 5 S in a quarter. I need to think of a CI in this area.
