My internet wanderings

by Jamie Flinchbaugh on 12-20-11

It has been a very busy end of year, and that has unfortunately affected my writing time, in addition to a goal of writing (in general) fewer but more substantive blog posts. My last post generated some interesting conversations and was forwarded by many throughout corporate conversations: 4 myths about the principle of “Respect for People.”

The annual Curious Cat Annual Management Blog Review has begun. You’ll see posts on that from me soon. I was honored that Kevin Meyer of Evolving Excellence decided to review my blog, as I have great respect for his accomplishments as a leader of industry. You can read Kevin’s review of my blog as well as My Flexible Pencil, TimeBack Management, and Matthew May.

Elsewhere on the worldwide web, Marci Reynolds of The Operations Blog asked for and received some input on a post titled 12 Operations Experts Share Their Key Learnings from 2011. I added thoughts on the role of boards of directors, which I will continue to write about in 2012.

And finally, the blog Cultural Kaizen interviewed me after reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Lean. You can read the interview here.

We hope you also enjoy our special holiday logo on the website. You’ll see more from me this week, but I’ll take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Holidays!
